ShawChicago presents concert readings of the plays of George Bernard Shaw and his contemporaries. We focus on great literary works that allow our actors to demonstrate their vocal and acting talents with minimal movement. Our audiences greatly appreciate the resulting ability to focus on the clarity of the language, without the distraction of sets and costumes. Often the plays selected explore great social issues that are as relevant today as when the plays were written, in the late 19th to mid-20th centuries.
